Eugenie Bouchard has been out of the tour for a long time now. Going down memory lane, the Canadian is one of the most promising players. Last year, at the WTA 250 Monterrey Open, Bouchard suffered a torn subscapularis in her right shoulder. Due to the serious nature, the injury forced the 28-year-old to undergo surgery in June. Since then, she has been out of the tour.

With more than a year passing, Bouchard is steadily on her way back to the tour. Known to be one of the most active athletes on social media, Bouchard, time and again, give updates concerning her comeback. Today, the 19th of May, she took to her Instagram, giving a glimpse of her training.
Eugenie Bouchard gives a glimpse of her training
Tennis fans around the world have been eagerly waiting for Bouchard’s return. Making sure of giving it back to her fans, Bouchard also keeps on sharing a regular glimpse of her training through her social media. Taking the same custom forward, Bouchard today took to her Instagram, uploading a story. The story was a TikTok video featuring Bouchard.

In the video, Bouchard, in pink T-shirt and black shorts, seemed to be indulged in high intensity training. Hitting volleys, backhand, forehand, serves, the former Wimbledon finalist made sure to leave no area untouched while training. Known as one of the most aggressive baseliners, the Canadian seems to be making sure to get her game on the optimum level before making a comeback on the tour.

Bouchard on the way back to the tour
Steadily trying to make a comeback to her peak form, Bouchard is getting the feel of competitive game by playing some exhibition matches before entering the tour. In March, she played few exhibition matches with American stars Sofia Kenin and Alison Riske.

Participating in a podcast after the exhibition matches, she admitted that she is eyeing a Roland Garros comeback. Thereafter, she also posted a series of social media updates showing her practicing on clay. However, today’s Instagram story revealed Bouchard back on the hardcourts of US.

Bouchard’s comeback at Roland Garros will be known to the tennis world by today evening; when Roland Garros announces its draw. However, even if Bouchard makes a comeback, a question that is being asked by the entire community is, ‘Will she be able to match her performance as it was during her peak?’
