Eugenie Bouchard Switches Nike Apparel with New Balance at Australian Open 2021 Qualifier

The new season has certainly brought some new exciting things for different players. Some are adopting new styles, some are hiring new staff, and some are engaging in new activities. However, former World No.5 Eugenie Bouchard is special and unique. She recently played her first match of 2021 and shocked fans with a change.

It appears as if Bouchard has signed a new sponsorship deal. While playing at the Australian Open 2021 qualifiers, one could see the Canadian wearing the ‘New Balance’ (NB) kit. It was astonishing, as it was the first time fans saw her wearing the NB outwear.

Before this, the tennis beauty was working in association with Nike. Her prime sponsor was Nike and fans had associated her with that brand only.

Bouchard will definitely hope that the new sponsor will bring good luck to her. She desperately needs it after having quite a poor season in 2020. Will fans see an altogether new and improved Bouchard in New Balance?

Bouchard recently began her 2021 campaign by playing her first match at the Australian Open 2021 qualifiers. She was up against the Australian player Abbie Myers in the very first qualifier.

Bouchard could not have got a better start as she beat the Australian in straight sets. The final scoreline of the match was 6-2, 6-3. She didn’t really face any difficulty in the match and managed to secure an easy win.

After the win, Bouchard thanked her fans for their immense support.

“Hey everyone, Eugenie Bouchard here. I just finished my first round in Dubai of the AO qualies. I just want to thank you all for your support and will see you next match,” said Bouchard after the match.

Bouchard’s target will surely be to qualify for the Australian Open 2021, a feat she could not accomplish last year. Apart from this, she will certainly try to work hard and go ahead in the WTA rankings. Will Bouchard be able to outshine her opponents in 2021?
