Eugenie Bouchard sure knows how to keep her fans hooked! Even as she transitions from tennis to her new chapter in pickleball, the Canadian star hasn’t lost her charm or her knack for making waves. Known for her wit, humor, and sharp takes, Bouchard remains a fan favorite, sparking conversations far beyond the court. And now, she’s done it again! Sharing yet another intriguing opinion, Bouchard has the internet buzzing

The Canadian sensation began playing pickleball after failing to qualify for the US Open last year. Gradually, she started competing at a professional level joining many players who try to amalgamate their tennis skills on pickleball courts. Now, she seems to be taking some much-deserved break enjoying some time off from her professional endeavors, and engaging with fans over social media.

Taking to X, Bouchard shared her opinion on whether one should return gifts after a breakup that they receive from their partners. Bouchard wrote, “My opinion is no but apparently some ppl think you should! To me a gift is a gift. And it was given in a moment of good times & love 😂.”  This comes soon after the Canadian star sparked intense reactions from fans.

Earlier, Bouchard took to her X and asked her fans to share their opinion through a poll on the same matter. She claimed that the debate emerged with her friends as she captioned the post, “Debate with friends: when you break up do you give gifts back?.” Responding to the poll, 93% of the users believed that returning gifts should not be in the picture after a break-up. “Well put G. I echo your sentiments exactly 💯,” a user wrote.

However, some believe that if the gift is extremely precious, like a ring, it should be returned.”Unless the gift was a family heirloom or engagement ring, it’s a big no. A gift is a gift,” another user commented. Now, Bouchard has shared her own take on the entire debate. Interestingly, the opinion from the Canadian star comes just months after reports of her breakup with her boyfriend Jack Brinkley-Cook.

In some reports that surfaced in July this year, it was reported that the couple had ended their long-term relationship. They confirmed their relationship in September 2023 and hence the sudden break-up came as a surprise for many. While the reason behind the breakup was not confirmed, it was reported to be a mutual call.
