The year 2017 was a special one for Serena Williams on many fronts. She began the year with a bang, winning her seventh Australian Open title. In the final of that tournament, she defeated her elder sister, Venus Williams, to lift the trophy. Later that year, she tied the knot with Reddit, co-founder Alexis Ohanian after welcoming their first child, Olympia.

Like her mother, the four-year-old is a social media star. Additionally, she never shies away from the camera and often gives glimpses of her adorable moments. While Serena has been away from tennis, she has spent quality time with her daughter. Recently, the duo engaged in a fun activity.

Serena Williams enjoys her time with Olympia

The 23-time Grand Slam champion took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her fun activity with Olympia. Sharing a story on her official Instagram handle, she said, “Hey, we are now playing ‘The Floor is Lava’ and chill, mum’s got you. So, the exit passes are the blue ones. There’s another exit pass. Oh, here is the exit pass, ok. Here we go.” Olympia was enjoying the time with her mother as she eagerly waited for the game to start.

Further, on the tennis front, Serena had grim news for her fans. Her name was missing from the singles entry list of the Wimbledon Championships. It is the same tournament where she last played. However, a hamstring injury sustained at the tournament last year has kept her out of action since.

Serena all praise for Rafael Nadal’s French Open triumph

Earlier this week, the American legend took to Twitter to react to Nadal’s 14th French Open title victory. Replying to Roland Garros’ tweet, she said, “Rafa!!!!!”

Nadal proved yet again why he is called the ‘King of Clay’, claiming his 14th Roland Garros title. In the finals, he defeated Casper Ruud in straight sets to win his second consecutive Grand Slam title this season after the Australian Open.
