In a recent interview with VOGUE, tennis superstar Serena Williams shared her thoughts on the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics. The event, which is set to take place at the iconic Roland Garros stadium, tempted Serena’s thoughts, ending up making her envy the opportunity.

The three-time Roland Garros champion expressed her excitement about the Games being held at the historic venue but also admitted to feeling a tinge of sadness that she won’t be able to compete. “I can’t believe the Olympics weren’t in Paris when I was playing because I love playing at Roland Garros and playing on Philippe-Chartier. It just would have been amazing. But they decided to do it when I evolved,” Williams said in the video interview.

Williams’ statement not only highlighted the special connection she feels to Roland Garros but also revealed her disappointment at not being able to compete in the Olympics at the venue during her career. Serena’s consistent love for Roland Garros
This isn’t the first time when Serena Williams expressed her immense love for Roland Garros. Back when the tennis star went on a trip to Paris with her daughter Olympia, she expressed her sentiments for the place.

“Paris, France. One of my favorite places to visit. Also, one of my favorite stops on tour at the French Open,” Serena said. Along with remembering the time when she had to travel there alone for the Roland Garros, she added an emotional statement.
“For the first time, I had an opportunity to do things and see things that I could never really do with my daughter because I’m usually at Roland Garros,” she added. As the tennis legend continues to move ahead with her immense love for the place, it remains to be seen if she makes an appearance at the Paris Olympics this year as an attendee.
