With the upcoming clay-court season, Naomi needs to master her nerves. Naomi has conquered hard courts this year and entered the top-50 again. Though what will pose a major threat to her scaling up the ranking table are matches on clay courts.
Naomi’s records reflect that she struggles with the red dirt. She has only reached as high as the third round in Roland Garros. Further, she has only touched the quarterfinals of any clay-based WTA 1000 event. Her best record in clay is at the 2019 Stuttgart Open, which is at WTA 500 level.
