Maria Sakkari’s kind words for Iga Swiatek

Maria Sakkari’s dream form continues as she wins her first match at the WTA Finals. The Greek crushed Iga Swiatek in straight sets to register an easy victory and gained some crucial points. Sakkari used her power and depth to dominate over long rallies. However, Swiatek’s unforced errors and double faults were advantageous for the Greek.

As the match got over, Swiatek got emotional as this wasn’t the best of her performances. However, Sakkari showed true sportswoman spirit and said some kind words to say about the Polish star. In the post-match interview, she said“More than anything we’re human. She’s only 20yo. She’s going to have many more chances than I’ll have in the future because it’s only the beginning for her.”
