Eugenie Bouchard was supposed to be the next big player in women’s tennis after Serena Williams. However, numerous injuries have prevented the Canadian to perform consistently at the highest level.

She established herself on the big stage in 2014. In that year, she made a couple of semi-final appearances at the Australian Open and the French Open. Further, in the same season, she finished as the runners-up at The Championships, Wimbledon, losing to Petra Kvitova in the summit clash. Further, her fantastic season enabled her to reach a career-best ranking of No. 5 that year.
