‘First Time She’s Taller Than Me’- Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian’s Tongue-in-Cheek Humour on Full Display as He Marvels at Wife’s Nike Building

Alexis Ohaninia pokes fun at her wifey! Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian was recently spotted paying a visit to the iconic Serena Williams Building at Nike World headquarters in Beaverton, OR. He posted a few glimpses of his visit with small video clips that he shared on his Instagram stories. In the clips, the 40-year-old American internet entrepreneur-cum-investor was seen raving about his wife and trolling her a bit as well. In the first video clip, his excitement after visiting this place was clearly portrayed through his facial expressions.

He was seen saying, “I’m really excited to get some meetings today…really pretty busy. Then suddenly he noticed Serena Williams staring at him from a photo frame right behind him. He asked, “You come here often?” Then in the next story, he was seen standing in front of a painting which included him and his wife, Serena Williams. Ohanian even went on to add jokingly that it’sThe most popular painting in the entire Serena Building.” Later on, he found himself in front of a giant picture of Serena Williams. Looking at that humongous photo frame he added, So, it’s the first time she’s taller than me.

Serena Williams Building is a depiction of marvellous architecture. It is located across 1 million square feet, covering 140 full-size tennis courts. The building is in fact one of the largest office buildings in the entire country. This building was designed by Portland-based Skylab Architecture in collaboration with Mark Parker (Executive Chairman of NIKE, Inc.) It fully focuses on the future of design and creativity.

Serena Williams has been involved with Nike for over two decades now. Her legacy on and off the court is portrayed through every nook and corner of this iconic building. Williams recently joined hands with Nike to help build women’s empowerment in the world of sports.

Nike and Serena Williams started their partnership way back in 2003. Since then, the partnership has gotten stronger day by day. Recently she was also spotted donning a beautiful brown co-ord set, with a cropped jacket and full-length skirt from Nike x Sacai at the Nike On A.I.R event in Paris. She wore white sneakers from Nike. The moment the pictures from that event came to social media, it got flooded with comments from her fans on her new look. The tennis diva looked stunning, styling in soft curls and silver eyeshadow with nude lips for makeup.

Serena Williams has always been a staunch supporter of women in sports. Almost two years ago she partnered with Nike to invest $1.3 M in the empowerment of women in sports. And now, she’s seen explaining how Nike Athlete Think Tank aims to amplify the voices of women in sports. She took to Twitter to announce, “The Nike Athlete Think Tank is a collective dedicated to amplifying the voices of women athletes. Because women and girls don’t have equal access to play and sport.
