If we take a look back, it’s not the first time that we’ve seen Williams donning something spectacular at this gala event. She made her debut at the Met Gala almost two decades ago. Her first attendance was in 2004, and ever since then, she has made a regular appearance here. Interestingly, in 2019, she co-hosted the gala ‘Note on Camp’ alongside Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, and Alessandro Michele. Talking about her fashion statements, last year, Williams appeared in a glittering golden custom-made Balenciaga, which was made to honor the ‘Garden of Time’ theme. 

In 2023, she was joined by her husband Alexis Ohanian, and her daughter Olympia. She used the Met Gala to unveil a baby bump and walked down the carpet in a stunning black Gucci gown. Speaking about that experience, Williams had then said, “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.“

This event has always been very close to her heart. Speaking more on this, the tennis star once admitted, “Attending the Met Gala while pregnant with Olympia in 2017—and [in 2023] with Adira—will always hold a special place in my heart. Embracing my pregnancy on the red carpet allowed me to feel empowered and radiant while sharing the beauty of motherhood. I also just love to think that both my girls have been with me to the Met Gala!“
