Arguably one of the greatest all-format tennis players of all time, Martina Navratilova has been spending plenty of time on social media lately. She often expresses her political views along with expressing her views on tennis.

Recently, she took a dig at former US President Donald Trump, as he continues to show support for the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Series.

Martina Navratilova takes another dig at Donald Trump

Earlier, the former Czech-American tennis player Martina Navratilova took to Twitter and posted, “As usual- FOLLOW THE MONEY.”

Notably, Donald Trump is bringing the LIV Golf series to his club at Bedminster, in New Jersey. Speaking about the Saudi-backed golf series, Trump said, “Frankly, what they’re doing for golf is so great.”

“The PGA was not loved by a lot of the players, as you know, for a long time,” he further said. According to him, there will be a merger in the future between PGA and LIV. As things stand, there will not be a merger right now.

Meanwhile, Trump was playing golf with his son and a few pro golfers, like Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson, before the LIV tour event at Bedminster. Meanwhile, this is not the first time Navratilova criticized Trump for supporting the LIV tour. Previously, she tweeted, “When in doubt, trump ALWAYS FOLLOWS THE MONEY.” 

Notably, as per the reports, Trump is getting a lot of money for hosting the LIV Golf series at this club in New Jersey.

Navratilova is a big golf fan

Recently, Navratilova showed her excitement after the Australian player Cameron Smith won the Open Championships. Moreover, she did not show any support for some of the players, like Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau, as they shifted to LIV Golf after leaving the PGA tour.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods also echoed the same sentiments as Navratilova, and showed continuous support for the PGA tour. Apart from golf, her first love has always been tennis for a long time, as she recently did commentary during the Wimbledon Championships. Now, we will probably hear her expert opinion at the US Open as well, which will start a month from now.
