‘King Richard’, a biopic on Richard Williams, portrays the journey of Serena and Venus Williams. In spite of not having enough resources, Richard was determined to help and provide the best for his young girls. Recently, in an interview, Venus Williams praised the actors who were playing the roles of the Williams sisters in the movie.

The seven-time Grand Slam winner is extremely grateful for the way Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton worked on the special project. Moreover, the tennis superstar believes they have an amazing career ahead of them.

Venus Williams was impressed by the young actors

The noteworthy journey of Serena and Venus Williams is beautifully depicted in ‘King Richard’. The movie itself is truly inspiring for all the young tennis players out there. As soon as the movie was released on the big screen, tennis fans started to express their love for the biopic.

Venus Williams also took a moment to appreciate the admirable work of the young girls. Recently, in an interview, she penned down a special message for both the girls.

She said, ” It means more to me than I can express. Seeing the time, energy, and heart that both Saniyya and Demi put into mastering these roles is so inspiring.”

Saniyya Sidney is a 15 year old American actor who is playing the role of Venus Williams in ‘King Richard’. On the other side, Demi Singleton, aged 14, portrayed Serena Williams in the same.

Venus’ reactions after watching the movie

When Venus Williams watched the movie for the first time, she got emotional. Seeing the journey of your life on a big screen is surely something to get sensitive about.

” It’s super emotional. I’ve seen the trailer, I’ve read the script, and every time I watch it my eyes are just watering,” she stated after watching the movie. Additionally, Serena Williams was also touched by the acting prowess of the cast of “King Richard”.
