Michigan has been the home of several world-class athletes who have made a significant impact on their respective sports. Notable among them is basketball legend Magic Johnson, who hails from Lansing, Michigan. Another exceptional athlete from Michigan is gymnast Jordyn Wieber, who was born in DeWitt, Michigan. Wieber achieved great success in the sport, winning numerous medals, including a gold medal as part of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team at the 2012 London Olympics. However, it will be fair to say that Serena is certainly the one who became a renowned name, not just in the US, but throughout the world.
