Well, it comes as no surprise that Venus Williams‘ press conference included some of the best moments. The former world number 1 looks all set to take on Elina Svitolina in her first round on Monday. Venus Williams sends the journalists into a burst of laughter

An interesting moment in the conference took place when a journalist talked about Venus being an inspiration. He asked her if she likes being an inspiration to athletes over the age of 35. She denied it instantly and said, “No simple answer” in a rather amusing tone.

What followed next was a question relating to motivation. Venus replied saying, There’s really great insurance benefits on the tour. I need those. I figure may as well keep going (laughs).” Her response to the motivation question also made the journalists laugh. She managed to change the press atmosphere with one single response.
