American tennis star Serena Williams had many friends from the tennis circuit over the years. Former World no.1 Caroline Wozniacki is possibly her best friend from the WTA tour. Her friends outside of the tour included American actress Meghan Markle, who is one of her closest friends. Earlier in 2010, they met for the first time and they became really close in 2014. 

Recently, the Duchess of Sussex attended a driving challenge in the Netherlands, where she was wearing special jewelry from Serena Williams’ brand.

In a recent event at Zuiderpark, Netherlands, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry took part in the Land Rover Driving Challenge. In this challenge, you have to drive a Land Rover car with perfect precision. Also, there were some obstacles that you needed to clear. 

Prince Harry took part in this challenge and Markle was cheering him on from the sidelines. Even though they didn’t win this challenge, they sure made some mark in that event. Particularly Meghan, with her amazing dress and jewelry. Interestingly, she was wearing the famous ‘Starburst earrings’ of Serena Williams’ jewelry brand. 

It’s not a surprise for many fans, as they have been best friends for many years. And they have always supported each other through their good or bad times. 

Meghan and Serena’s friendship 

They first met in Miami in 2010, during the Superbowl. However, their true friendship began in 2014, when they played beach ball together for DirecTV. Since then, they have become quite inseparable. Often we saw Markle attending various matches of Serena, especially the Grand Slam matches. Then, Serena also attended the wedding of the TV actress and Prince Harry.

Reportedly, the American tennis player also gave advice to her friend when she was dating Prince Harry. 

After the famous interview with Oprah, Markle suffered a massive backlash from the fans and media around the world. During her difficult period, Serena supported her friend, as she posted on her Instagram. During the birth of her first child, Serena reportedly gave a baby shower to Markle. We often see Markle, wearing dresses and pieces of jewelry of Serena’s brand to support her best friend as well.
