Alexis Ohanian recently tried to convert a young Alex Morgan fan into a fan of his women’s soccer team, Angel City FC, on Twitter. Ohanian has been a good friend of the USWNT star, Alex Morgan, the two-time world champion and Olympic gold medalist. On numerous occasions, the co-founder of Reddit provided guidance to the upcoming investor in her.

Thus, he recently used his leverage as her friend to convert one of her diehard fans into an Angel City FC fan.

Alexis Ohanian puts a smile on the face of a young soccer fan

Ohanian gifted an Alex Morgan Jersey to a young fan and was overwhelmed with happiness when he saw his face light up. The little boy who received Morgan’s Jersey was smiling from ear to ear, shouting his idol’s name and thanking Ohanian. As a response to which he wrote, “YES! Glad you got it. Keep cheering for Alex Morgan from the top of your lungs.”

Thereafter, he added, “I’m just saying, we have a GREAT team in LA that would love you as a fan, too. Be my guest for next season when we take on the San Diego Wave FC at home & maybe I can convert you!” Morgan plays as a striker and currently is San Diego Wave FC’s captain. Earlier, she was in Orlando Pride and had the same position. Also, she co-captained USA’s national soccer team from 2018 to 2020.

Speaking of Ohanian’s Angel City FC, the club is fairly new and is gaining fans and investors rapidly. The team was established in 2020 and it started participating in the NWSL from this season.

The 23 times Grand Slam champion, after recovering from a year-long injury, made a comeback in this season’s Wimbledon. No doubt her fans were happy, but no one was as thrilled as Ohanian.

The 39-year-old dropped everything and traveled to England alongside her. He cheered for her in her mixed doubles run at Eastbourne International and her singles run at the Wimbledon Championships.

Following that, when Williams announced her retirement, he geared up to provide emotional support to her. The six-time US Open champion in the presence of her husband, daughter, and many fans said goodbye to her 27-year-long career.
