Alexis Ohanian, the husband of Serena Williams, might have co-founded Reddit, but his biggest achievement, according to his own words, is his beloved daughter Olympia. The Reddit c0-founder recently talked about how it is to be a father of a daughter of color. Moreover, he also wanted to do great things so that Olympia knows that both her parents have done remarkable things in their lives.

It was an emotional take on the role that Ohanian is playing as a father as well as a human being.

However, that does not mean that Alexis Ohanian has not done anything significant. The Reddit co-founder played a major role in revolutionizing the internet as Reddit was one of the earliest social media platforms. However, he, despite everything he has done and achieved in this world, he wants to do more. And why is that?

Because he wants Olympia to know that her father did praiseworthy things in his life, just like her mother. In a Zoom interview with Money, he said, “I want to make sure that there’s just as many people who go up to my daughter and tell her how proud they are of her dad.” Furthermore, he added, “And that the things that her dad did were remarkable.”

Moreover, he also understands the responsibility he is carrying as a father. He said, “I went from being accountable to millions and millions of strangers on the internet,” to “clarity that came from becoming a dad.” Ohanian also added about the difficulties faced by his wife, “Especially to a daughter of color, and especially with a mom, who… I have a front-row seat to the shit that she deals with.”
