The entire tennis community would think that “it must be so amazing” for tennis players to compete in various tournaments. Proving them wrong, Pegula told them about her own situation following her heart-breaking birthday defeat. On the special occasion, she was waiting for her flight at midnight while digging into a pack of Doritos.

She tweeted, “gets bagled on your birthday, sitting eating Doritos at midnight, waiting to get on a 16 hr flight home.“

Pegula lauded the consistency of female players

This is not the first time Pegula has opened up about her views on playing on the WTA Tour. During an old press conference, the American tennis player was quite vocal about the consistency levels of female tennis players. She believes that there is a huge talent with all the top competitors on the circuit. It further makes it hard for various WTA players, including her, to put on consistent displays on the court.
