American tennis legend Martina Navratilova has come forward in support of under-fire British author JK Rowling. Recently, the Harry Potter author got into a controversy after liking a social media post from an anti-LGBTQ account. Over the years, Briton has maintained that she is not transphobic. However, she regularly targets posts regarding LGBTQ rights on social media.

After intense trolling, Martina Navratilova urged people to stop going after the British author. Here’s what happened.

Martina Navratilova calls out trolls for attacking JK Rowling

While people are trolling and targeting JK Rowling online, Navratilova is not happy with it. Navratilova identifies herself as a proud member of the LGBTQ community. However, the 65-year-old doesn’t feel Rowling has done anything wrong.

Taking to her Twitter account, the 18-time Grand Slam champion wrote, “This is getting ridiculous!!! Stop with attacking JK and go after the assholes (mostly men) who do the actual physical attacking and hate speech against Trans people!!!”
