Sloane Stephens commented- “And then I’m just going to try to convince her not to retire because you kind of got to ride the wave, right? So, I’m like, you have like another year of like playing where you’re going to make a lot of money, like, don’t give it up too soon. I don’t know, I’m going to have that talk with her.”

Collins defeated Sloane Stephens in round sixteen of the Charleston Tournament by 6-2 and 6-2. It forced the American tennis player to exit from the singles. However, Stephens partnered with Ashlyn Krueger and won the tournament’s doubles. Collins expressed her joy in defeating Stephens.

She said– “Obviously not easy coming out and playing two matches back to back, but very rewarding thing to be able to accomplish against two incredibly high-level players, a top six player and a Grand Slam champion. So I should be able to take this and use it as confidence moving forward.”
