Even after six years of marriage, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are still learning a lot about one another. Although the Reddit co-founder was quite aware of his wife’s tennis abilities, he discovered a new talent of hers a few months ago. The 40-year-old American entrepreneur, along with his tennis legend wife and daughter, recently invested in a golf club together. Little did he know that he would be humbled soon after!

After the investment, Ohanian saw a different face of the 23-time Grand Slam champion when both of them tried taking golf lessons together. However, after the 41-year-old American tennis legend’s incredible show right off that bat, a sheepish Ohanian was left fumbling for words.

Serena Williams could have picked a better role than learning golf

A few months ago, the Williams-Ohanian family made a huge decision to step into the golfing world by taking part in Tiger Woods‘ TGL. For that, the 40-year-old American entrepreneur, along with his family, made a multi-million dollar investment in the Los Angeles Golf Club, taking another sport into their business portfolio. Recently, the 41-year-old American tennis legend’s husband appeared on the ‘AntetokounBros TV’ show, where he shared an interesting tale from their first golf lesson together.

Ohanian was quite new to the sport. But his wife, Serena Williams, turned out to be a pro! Ohanian reported, “With this instructor I go out first because I’m like, ‘All right let’s go, let’s go’. And I take a couple of swings and he’s like, ‘All right.’ He’s like, ‘I can work with this’. He’s like, ‘Good job.’ He’s like, ‘You, of course… you’ve never golfed before.’ And I’m like, ‘No, I haven’t, no I haven’t but thanks!’ And then wifey gets up there. Whack! First one, sends it. And I’m just like, ‘God damn it, you’re supposed to not be good at this!'”

Looking at the way the former World No. 1 stunned her husband, she could have taken on a role as his golf instructor herself. Nevertheless, Ohanian was not one to accept defeat. After getting stunned by the 23-time Grand Slam Champion’s dominating show, the Reddit co-founder took a different route to improve his golfing abilities.

Ohanian found a different way to learn golf 

In the same interview, the 40-year-old American entrepreneur talked about how the competitive fire got real when he saw his wife doing wonders on their first golf lessons together. Subsequently, to work on his skills and reach her level of skill, he started taking private golf lessons, keeping a huge secret from his former tennis legend wife.
