Coco Gauff, America’s rising tennis star, once shared details about her parents in an exclusive interview. She had revealed that she found it unpleasant sometimes to stay with them on tour. The caring parents however rounded off her claims as a rebellious adolescent phase.

In the interview, Gauff had once discussed details about her training, her newfound fame, and how much she adores winning. The adults in Coco’s life are acutely aware that she needs to continue being the modest, well-mannered, driven person they know. They wish their daughter to succeed both as a tennis player and in life in general.

Coco Gauff once opened up about her adolescent days and family

The American star had shared in the interview that her parents had moved the family back to Florida when she was in the third grade. Her parents had quit their jobs as soon as they realized how athletic their daughter could be. Coco Gauff was quoted as, “ I don’t want [to just] be known as a tennis player,..” Gauff also shared that she found it difficult to decanter her problems, which included her plans for college and her future.

When the talented youngster had defeated Venus Williams at Wimbledon, media outlets were quick to title the then 15 years old, as ‘the next big thing in women’s tennis. Such titles put a lot of pressure on the individual. However, her parents were ready to tackle the fame and her rebellious phase. In the interview, Gauff also explained the occasional disagreement she had with her parents. She was quoted as, “Sometimes when you’re around someone a lot, you’re gonna get sick of them. Sometimes [my dad and I] go through that, and then my mom kind of pieces it back together.” At such a young age, the American tennis prodigy has accomplished quite a lot. Although she is still a teen, she is already at the top of the list of WTA’s potential future legends.

In preparation for the 2023 season, Gauff starts her preseason workouts

Gauff still had a successful 2022 season despite the unhappy end. She had reached a career-high ranking of No. 1 after reaching her first Major final at the French Open. Gauff and Jessica Pegula had also made waves as a great doubles team. The pair came in second at Roland Garros but won titles in Doha, Toronto, and San Diego.

After her loss at all of her matches at the WTA tour Finals, the American’s 2022 season came to an unfortunate conclusion. Gauff has officially started her preseason and shared the news on social media with new objectives and anticipations for 2023. In January 2023, Auckland will host Gauff’s season debut. The teen had previously expressed her excitement about going back to Auckland because of the fans, who she claimed gave the tour a special atmosphere.
