Venus Williams has been off the court for a while now. But that does not mean she is not active in the practice court. She has been hitting the court with players and has been staying in touch with sport.

Recently, the former world no. 1 opened up on her favorite partner for training in the Top Court class. It turns out to be world no. 18 American tennis player Reilly Opelka. Venus also shared the improvement she needs to work upon.

Venus Williams opens up on training with Reilly Opelka

Venus Williams answered some Q/A on her merch’s Instagram account. A fan asked her, “What’s your favorite TopCourt class?” To which she replied, “With this guy @reillyopelka. Gotta step up my serve speed”. She has been training with the world no. 18 American tennis player Reilly Opelka.

Venus Williams has been off the court for a while because of her leg injury. Seven-time grand slam winner last played in August 2021. The player also acknowledged that she needs to work on her serve speed while training with Reilly Opelka.

The player, however, has been active off the court. She has taken part in the Oscars, Vanity affair, and other events. She has also been working for her business enterprises.

Players, both on and off the court

She had dropped hints of being a part of the Wimbledon 2022. However, the entry list for the Wimbledon Championship is out and her name did not surface on that list.

On the other hand, Reilly Opelka has been active in the court. He has not been having the best of the run in 2022. His best for this year has been his victory at the ATP Houston.
