‘Great Win Today’ – Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Proudly Celebrates Soccer Club’s Hard-Fought Victory

Serena Williams is one of the best tennis players of all time. Apart from tennis, the 40-year-old is quite active on the business front and has a pretty diverse portfolio of investments. However, being a sports person, a good number of her investments are on sports teams. One such investment she made is in the Women’s Soccer League team, Angel City FC.

Both Serena and her husband Alexis Ohanian voraciously support the team in the league. Recently Angel City FC won a tough game against Racing Louisville. The hard-fought win prompted Ohanian to congratulate the team on social media.

Alexis Ohanian reacts to the win of Angel City FC

The Reddit co-founder took to his Instagram account and shared a post from the official account of Angel City FC, praising the determination of the team. He wrote “Great win today.” 

In a sad turn of events, Christen Press twisted her knee and walked out in the middle of the match. Ohanian showed his concern towards her and prayed for her speedy recovery.

It is interesting to see that the Reddit cofounder has always shown emotional support to the teams he or Serena has invested in.

Serena Williams missing from the Wimbledon entry list

The prestigious grass court Grand Slam event will kick off at the end of this month. Although Serena had earlier hinted at participating in this year’s Wimbledon Championship, it looks like she will not be playing. Notably, the entry list for the tournament is out and there’s no mention of the 40-year-old in it.

However, there’s still a chance that the 23-time Grand Slam champion might request a wildcard entry in the tournament, but it seems highly unlikely.
