American tennis player Serena Williams has been enjoying a dominant position on the WTA tour over the past two decades. She, along with her sister Venus have been real assets to the sport.
King Richard, a movie based on the lives of Venus and Serena, got released last year and has been earning much-deserving accolades from fans and critics. It mainly focused on the Williams sisters early life how their father Richard took it upon himself to make his daughters world-class players.

King Richard was quite an experience
Recently, Trevor White, producer of the movie, spoke on its making. He mentioned certain difficulties they had during the movie’s shooting.
“We had to shoot in between trains moving through because that wasn’t period-specific, but we were really happy with those courts. We knew instantly that the surfaces themselves had a lot of cracks in them and they seemed a little worn down and dated, and that’s truthful to what Venus and Serena grew up playing on.”
Coming to tennis, Serena and Venus have not been seen together for a while. Serena, who is in pursuit of the elusive 24th Grand Slam, was last seen in Wimbledon last year and is yet to make an announcement concerning her comeback.

Venus and Serena Williams have not performed for long
Both the Williams sisters have missed the Australian Open this year as well. However, they have been busy attending various award shows, thanks to King Richard’s massive success. Their father’s role has been played by none other than Hollywood superstar Will Smith.
