While reading some fan postcards after the Canadian Masters, Raducanu stumbled upon a very heartwarming fan note. She received a note from Isabella Martyr saying, “Hi Emma, you are my favorite tennis player. I love the way you play.”
Thereafter, she added, “We have something in common. We are both half Chinese and half Romanian. Hope to play you some day.” To which an amused Raducanu responded. “Wow, honestly, I actually don’t know anyone who is half Chinese-half Romanian, so I would love to see you and meet you.”
