He commented on her Insta post and expressed his deep concern and agitation over the ITIA’s actions. Mouratoglou believes that the doping agency has crossed a line in its treatment of Halep. He reiterated that the harassment to which she has been subjected is inexcusable.
Halep recently took to Instagram to express feelings of helplessness and assert denials of the charges brought against her. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) implemented the Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) program. The program collects and evaluates biological data to flag any anomalies that might indicate doping.

The tennis star Halep vs the ITIA’s extreme doping charges
The ITIA provided additional details regarding the new doping charge against Simona Halep in their statement. They revealed that the new charge is an addition to the one issued in October 2022. According to the ITIA, Halep’s Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) irregularities violated the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP). The statement also mentioned that an independent panel of ABP experts evaluated Halep’s profile and concluded that she had breached the TADP. Nicole Sapstead, the ITIA’s Senior Director for Anti-Doping, acknowledged the complexity of Halep’s high-profile case and assured that the ITIA would engage with Halep while maintaining efficiency and empathy.

Halep remains hopeful and stated her intention to prove her innocence before a tribunal later this month.
