Swiatek rose to career-high no.2 in WTA ranking

Iga improved her ranking to become world no.2 after the triumph at Indian Wells. The 20-year-old proved to be a tough challenge against top players like Simona Halep and Angelique Kerber on the women’s draw.

In addition to that, the Pole had earlier won Qatar Open. Swiatek first rose to prominence when she won the French Open in 2020.

Swiatek is now gearing up with full zeal and passion for the Miami Open. She takes inspiration from Rafael Nadal and likes to acquire his diligence. The ball is in the court of the Polish player to gain maximum ranking points and challenge Ashleigh Barty for the no.1 position.
