American legend Venus Williams didn’t have a great start to the 2021 tennis season. She lost to Sara Errani in straight sets in the second round of the Australian Open 2021. Suprisingly, she could only win a single game in that entire match; the final scoreline was 6-1, 6-0.
The former World No.1 player is 40 right now and it is surely becoming more and more difficult for her to train physically. In a recent podcast, she revealed how long she trains for.
“Now-a-day, I get myself 4-5 good hours of training,” began Venus Williams. “So, I’m basically going by 9 to 5 with a little bit of different way.”

“I hate playing indoors. So, even at the office, I gotta go walk outside every couple of hours or so. I gotta go step out,” added the former World No.1.
It is definitely because of her consistent training that Venus is going strong at an age most players become coaches or take retirement. Although she is a successful entrepreneur at the moment, she is not ready to leave tennis behind even now.
Venus Williams will return to the court quite soon. Even though she hasn’t hinted at retirement yet, fans know that it’ll happen sooner than later.
