‘Have Been Working On Something Special’- Ash Barty Announces Exciting News for Fans

Ash Barty, the Australian tennis professional, bid farewell to her tennis career in March 2022 at 25. Just after clinching her first Australian Open trophy, she dropped her racket. Further, she was World No.1 at that time. Therefore, her decision stunned everyone except for people who were close to her.
Even though the entire tennis world believed that she could have achieved a lot more, Barty seemed satisfied with her career and sounded optimistic about trying new sports and spending more time with her family. Especially with her niece and nephew. In her interview post her announcement, she spoke about how she would love to do something for her little friends. Looks like the Australian has kept her promise.

A collection of books drafted by Ash Barty
Barty recently broke the joyous news about her upcoming project. She took to Instagram to inform her fans about the series of books named Little Ash. And wrote, “I’ve been working on something special that I’m excited to share with you! Coming in July, Little Ash is a series of books for young readers aged five and up.”

Further, she added, “Reading to my nieces and nephew is something I love to do. And seeing their little faces light up when we read a book they love is magic. With First Nations writer Jasmin McGaughey and illustrator Jade Goodwin, I’ve created Little Ash to be fun and relatable for all kids. Supporting kids’ education is something I’m passionate about. And if I can help encourage new readers, that will make me very happy.”

In addition, Barty has won 15 single career titles and three grand Slams and has held the ranking of World No.1 for a record 121 weeks. In the case of doubles, she has 12 career titles and was the winner of the 2018 US Open. Also, the 26-year-old has been a part of WTA top 10 in doubles category.

The former World No. 1 likes a variety of games. Though her favourite ones are Golf, Cricket and obviously tennis. Now that Barty has engraved her name in the world of tennis, she is willing to give a shot to the rest two.
However, the 26-year-old has already tested her skills in cricket and she was a big hit in her first attempt. During her break from tennis she participated in women’s Big bash league in the 2014-15 season.

Further, following her retirement, Multi-talented Barty picked up the golf stick. She enrolled herself in the ladies’ golf championship at Brookwater Golf and Country club. Her impressive skills on the course designed by Greg Norman brought her victory, as Barty secured the ladies’ competition with a round of 34 points.
