With continuous guidance from her parents and coaches, she reached a stage many seldom can climb. Williams recently shared what she believes to be the best pieces of guidance she ever received.

Venus Williams has reached the pinnacle of her field. Although she may be the older sister, she is not the only one with motivational words. Her younger sister, Serena Williams, has had a similar experience and knows a thing or two about stimulating the competitive nature. Venus recalled one thing Serena had said to her before their first final, which pushed her to play her best.

As a continuation of her Q&A series on her company’s Instagram account, Williams has continued answering the questions of her fans. One follower asked Queen V about the best pieces of advice she has received in her career. The seven-time grand slam champion stated with no delay that her mother and two older sisters delivered the best motivation.

Her mother, Oracene Price, taught her to be cautious of the world. Serena ignited her spirit to compete, and step-sister Lyndrea Price taught her not to procrastinate. “If it’s too good to be true, it usually is from my mother. From Serena, “You have to show up, so why not compete?” From my sister Lyn, “Update, don’t be late“.”

When is Venus coming back?

Although the younger Williams sister has retired from professional tennis, Venus Williams is still going strong. However, some issues have prevented her from returning on tour. While she has been absent, many have speculated that she will retire. But Queen V smashed retirement rumors by stating that she plans on coming back in the near future.
