Recently, the Hollywood star made an interesting comment and mentioned the real motive behind Richard’s determination was not really his passion for tennis. On the contrary, it was more to do with protecting the well-being of his family.

Speaking on this subject, Will stated, “He wasn’t doing what people thought he was doing. He didn’t give a damn about tennis and He was trying to build his family. He was using tennis to cultivate his family, to cultivate values. My suffering helped me to become who I am. In those last moments with my father, I was able to forgive my father. I had a shocking realization that I was able to forgive myself. My father dying started a new phase of my life.”
