It’s been a while since Emma Raducanu enthralled the spectators with a display of her outstanding prowess on the court. The British tennis star hasn’t been competing on the WTA Tour due to her persistent wrist and ankle issues that have often been a major setback in her journey. Notably, the 20-year-old player had to undergo surgery, which also forced her to pull out from a number of crucial tournaments.
Plagued by recurring injuries and worrying form, the former world no.10 player was also forced to make a heartbreaking withdrawal from the Grand Slam in her home country, the Wimbledon Championships. Now, after missing out on the prestigious tournament, the young tennis star recently trolled herself with a ‘Wimbledon’ reference.

Emma Raducanu makes a ‘Wimbledon’ reference during her workout session
The WTA player is now diligently continuing her recovery process after successfully undergoing her wrists and ankle surgery. Nonetheless, the former US Open champion hasn’t held herself back from sharing glimpses of her daily activities and other endeavors. Even her recent ‘rice bucket’ workout session was not kept hidden from the public lens.
On her Instagram story, Emma Raducanu shared a picture of herself doing the rice bucket workout on a ‘Wimbledon Championships’ floor mat. In the caption, the 20-year-old Brit didn’t shy away from poking fun at her disappointing withdrawal from the British Slam. She said, “Closest I was to participating this year @wimbledon”.

With her recent ‘rice bucket’ update, the British tennis star has made it clear that she is ardently following her workout regime. Apart from this, the young tennis star also shared some sneak peeks from her recent gym workouts and training.

Raducanu is back to being a fitness freak amidst the adverse phase
In another recent Instagram post, the former world no.10 player revealed that she has now been ‘reintroduced’ to the gym after she underwent her surgeries. While sharing a video clip of her workout regime, she said, “hi ! 🤩 first few steps but nice to be reintroduced 👋.”
The video showed Raducanu kicking off her workout on the cable machine where she worked her lats. Later, the WTA player also switched to dumbbell lunges in order to tone up her quads. Raducanu didn’t forget about some hyperextension exercises as she worked on her lower back, prior to making a move to the leg press machine.
