Serena Williams is a happy Producer after all. She celebrated her movie King Richard’s performance at the Oscars at the Vanity fair – a post-award function celebration. She was accompanied by other celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.  

Will Smith, who played the role of Richard Williams, father of Serena and Venus, received an Oscar for Best Actor in a lead role for the movie.

Movie ‘King Richard’ is a very special one for the Williams sisters. The story is about their childhood and is centered on their father Richard Williams. Serena Williams and Venus Williams worked hard for the film promotions and were rewarded with huge success. 

They celebrated the success in style and were very excited in the post-award show celebrations too. Serena wore a shining silver dress fitting perfectly for the event, while Venus carried herself like a queen in a royal white colored dress.

Serena shared a photo with the Kardashian sisters – Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner. Many other non-film celebrities like Dwayne Wade with his wife Gabrielle Union were also present at the event.

The movie won many prestigious awards in various categories. While Will Smith won multiple awards for his magnificent performance at various events in the lead-up to the Oscars, the biggest one was yet to come. Finally, on the night of 27th March, the 53-year-old actor got his hands on an ever-illusive Academy award.

40-year-old, Serena Williams is out of tennis action for nearly 8 months now. She is currently on 23 singles Grand slam wins, just one short of Margaret Court’s record 24 Major titles. She has been very actively working on her fashion brand and investment business other than the promotions for her film.

Former World No. 1 last won a Grand Slam in Australia in 2017. She managed to reach four Major finals and two Major semifinals thereafter, but her 24th Major title seems to be eluding her for a while now. Recently, she has expressed her desire to have more kids with her husband Alexis Ohanian, and planning for life after Tennis.

About preparing for her retirement, she said in an interview, “So, I’ve always…if you’ve seen King Richard, you know that my dad always said you got to prepare, so I’ve been prepared for that.”

Serena has not given any definite date for the return but her workouts and recent activities suggest that the Iconic player can make a return any time soon. We hope that Serena ditches the retirement thoughts and conquers the Tennis world once again.
