Yesterday, the film industry celebrated another glorious and memorable year. The biggest awards ceremony of the industry, the 94th Academy Awards took place on Sunday. From the likes of Beyonce to Serena Williams, various celebrities and superstars marked their presence on a star-studded night. Popularly known as the Oscars, the event took place in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Serena was present on behalf of the King Richard film, which had received five Oscar nominations. She attended the awards night with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and her elder sister, Venus Williams. After the ceremony, Serena caught everyone’s eye during the after-party with her husband.

It was a night to cherish for the King Richard family. Will Smith, who played the lead role of Serena and Venus Williams’ father, Richard Williams, in the film, bagged the Oscar for the Best Actor. It was a star-studded nomination list, boasting the likes of Javier Bardem, Benedict Cumberbatch, Andrew Garfield, and Denzel Washington, along with Will Smith. However, Smith left everyone behind to win the biggest honor of his career.

Further, his victory speech left the Williams sisters emotional. Honoring their father, Smith said, “Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family…I want to say thank you to Venus and Serena and the entire Williams family for entrusting me with your story. That’s what I want to do. I want to be an ambassador of that kind of love, care, and concern.”
