Eugenie Bouchard has had massive ups and downs in her tennis career. In what has been a turbulent career, she showed tremendous promise early in her career. Her most successful season was in 2014 when she finished second-best at the Wimbledon Championships. Additionally, she also made it to the semifinals at the Australian Open and the French Open.

Bouchard is an extremely popular figure on social media. She often shares glimpses of her personal life with her fans. Recently, she made an appearance at the ESPY Awards ceremony with her new date.
Eugenie Bouchard enjoys her time with her new date
The Canadian star took to Instagram to share glimpses of her enjoying the ESPY Awards ceremony. Sharing pictures of her with her date via a story on her official Instagram handle, Bouchard said, “My dateeee!” Moreover, the caption was accompanied by some shining heart emojis. Subsequently, her date, Zach Zumb re-shared the story, saying, “Hot date energy!”

The ESPY Awards ceremony took place yesterday at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. While Rafael Nadal won the award for Best Athlete in Men’s Tennis, Emma Raducanu won the award for Best Athlete in Women’s Tennis.

Bouchard’s comeback plans
The 28-year-old hasn’t played a competitive match since her first-round loss at Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey, Mexico against Lin Zhu of China. Subsequently, she suffered a shoulder injury that kept her away from tennis. Bouchard even underwent surgery for a tear in her right shoulder last year.

The Canadian star decided to make a comeback at Wimbledon Championships. However, she skipped the tournament as ranking points weren’t available in the tournament. Last month, she confirmed that she will be playing in the Citi Open, scheduled next month. Bouchard has received a wildcard entry to play in the tournament.
