Her fans were excited to see her, but they are now sad that they will not get to watch her player soon. 

One fan expressed their sadness on their Twitter (now X) page. They wrote, “I can’t believe Donna withdrew from Transylvania Open… I was so happy and excited to finally meet her, I’m so sad and hurt rn, i have no words 😔“.

Their words did not go unnoticed as the world number 21 herself noticed the comment. She replied to the post by saying, “I’m so sorry 😞 how can I make it up to you?“

Her fans have shown that they love her to the moon and back. But the Croatian player also adores her fans just as much as they adore her. A few months back, another one of her fans showed her how much they loved her after her win.

Earlier this year, in the Berlin Open, Vekic won her quarterfinal bout and set up a promising stint. She showed her talent to her fans, who cheered for her constantly. As she was packing her stuff after the win, a fan walked up to her and gave her an adorable gift, a Panda stuffed toy. The fan had another tiny Panda, which was signed by Vekic.

As the video went viral, Vekic commented on it by sharing a Panda emoji. The bond between a player and their fans is a sacred one. Vekic and her fans have a close connection, which is amped up further by their interactions.
