Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka is currently competing at the Miami Open 2022. Over the recent tournaments, this has been her best performance on the circuit so far. She is currently in the semifinal of the competition. However, as we approach the business end, the competition gets tougher. In the next round, Osaka will be facing a tough opponent in Swiss star Belinda Bencic.

Interestingly, both players have reached this stage without dropping a set. This just gives an indication that they are in good form. The four-time Grand Slam winner has beaten some quality players like Danielle Collins and Angelique Kerber. On the other hand, Bencic has beaten some talented players like Marta Kostyuk and Daria Gavrilova.

At one point in time, Naomi was the top-ranked player in the sport. Whereas, Belinda has come as high as being World No. 4. The Japanese tennis player brings her best tennis on the hard courts. For a player who has won all her Majors on that surface, they surely would relish their chances.

If Naomi manages to execute the same level of gameplay that she has so far this week, then she will have a good shot of making it to the final and probably have the Miami title in her sights. It has been a long time since the Japanese star has won a title. For a player of her caliber, winning has been a habit that went missing for some time.
