Former tennis icon, Martina Navratilova finds herself in the middle of a serious debate once again. The Czech-American tennis legend known for being outspoken is involved in a war of words at the moment. This time, she finds herself in a heated battle with the former American Olympic gold medalist. Caitlyn Jenner, the mother of Kylie and Kendall Jenner has had a few heated exchanges with Navratilova.

The debate involved a rather sensitive topic which often leads to outrage. Navratilova and Jenner were on the same page initially but things got ugly when the latter went to Lance Armstrong’s podcast.

War of words between Martina Navratilova and Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner has been advocating for women’s sports and stood against the participation of trans-female athletes. Navratilova held the same opinion but lashed out at her after the 73-year-old went to the podcast. Furious at Navratilova’s reaction, Jenner spoke against her. The war started on Twitter where Navratilova expressed her contempt towards Armstrong. But, Jenner fought back and made things really ugly. She posted a screenshot of Navratilova’s ant-Armstrong tweet and started this war.

However, the feud escalated pretty quickly when Jenner spoke against the former world number 1 in an interview. She said via Outkick, ” I thought how hypocritical of her to come out and kind of bash me and say, I have no credibility on this subject. … I just want people like Martina to realize that there are consequences if you’re going to tweet this stuff.”

Navratilova was not pleased at all. Jenner tweeted against the former world number 1 and provoked her till she reached the melting point.

The Czech-American tennis icon snapped back at Jenner. She said via her tweet, “My point was that men run the world and here is another example of biological males talking about fairness in women’s sports, when those women were not at all consulted with any of the rules and regulations. Thank you.”

Navratilova advocates for fairness in women’s sports and agrees with Jenner’s disapproval of trans-female athletes. However, the 18-time major champion was pressed at the fact that men were talking about fairness in women’s sports without consulting women.
