The Japanese player withdrew from the Pan Pacific Open after suffering a lower back injury during the 2024 China Open. Despite not being able to participate, Osaka enjoyed the Halloween festivities and shared her experience of the event in a foreign country. She shared on social media how Hong Kong’s streets were filled with people. She also shared pictures of enjoying local food, her practice sessions, her attendance in a horse-riding game, and a beautiful sunset. While the WTA star seemed to have fun there, she couldn’t get over the charm of American Halloween.

She shared a picture of her in a car on her IG story. “Straight off the plane to go trick or treating,” she captioned her photo. While Osaka’s face wasn’t visible in the photo, her costume gave the vibes of the famous Amazonian princess Wonder Woman. Now, Osaka’s followers know well that she was a great supporter of Halloween. Last year, she made a stunning entry in an anime costume showcasing her love for the particular art form. Dressed as Kuromi, a character from Onegai My Melody, this player stunned everyone with her creative personality. A family shared an image on IG where the mother dressed her newborn as the tennis ball, her elder son as the US Open trophy, and her daughter as the US Open champion Osaka. “In awe of @naomiosaka , who at the age of 22 won the US Open and her third career Grand Slam title this year, all while using her platform to shine a light on Black victims of police (and vigilante) violence,”
the image was captioned. Not only Osaka’s talent but her resilience and fighting spirit were the reasons why people adored her.
