At the premiere of the movie, the starring actor Will Smith shared a fun moment with Venus Williams by crashing her interview. Will Smith has played the role of Richard Williams, the father of the two tennis legends in the movie, and won the ‘Best Actor’ award at the 94th Academy Awards last weekend.

Venus Williams appreciates Will Smith

The player was giving an interview when she saw Will Smith. She greeted him and said, “I am just bragging on you”. She commended the actor’s professionalism and expressed that she has learned from him how to be professional despite being a professional herself. When he asked what did she say, former World No. 1 replied, “I said as a professional I have learnt from you as a professional. I thought that there was nothing else to learn and there you are”. Then they hugged it out with each other.

In a reply to that, the actor said, “It was my honor to honor you and to honor your family. It is one of the greatest pleasures of my career”. The movie pays a tribute to the father of two of the greatest tennis players. Richard Williams, their father has been instrumental in shaping their careers and helping them realize their dreams. Moreover, the Williams sisters have been role models to millions throughout the world and they have proved time and again that nothing ever beats sheer dedication and hard work.
