Come April, it is the time to play pranks and troll each other. While the world celebrates April Fool’s Day today, the tennis world also joined in on the fun. Tennis stars across the globe have had their share of pranks to play. However, on this occasion, a fan played a prank on renowned WTA player, Barbora Krejcikova, following which the Czech Republican star cleared the air on the fan’s announcement.

A few hours ago, one Krejcikova fan on social media made a bizarre announcement regarding the tennis star. She broke the news that Krejcikova was pregnant and even shared the announcement that the tennis star had made. The quote read, “I wanted to share the good news that me and Pavel are welcoming a baby into our family this year! I hope to see you on the court very soon and I am thankful for your support.”

However, as it turned out, it was a prank by a fan and Krejcikova immediately declined the claims of her pregnancy. She said, “Sorry to disappoint but I am still on baby number one.” AKA her sweet doggy! It was a witty response by the Czech Republican star, who combined humor with caution.

While Krejcikova cheekily defended the prank and didn’t fall for it, some players were victims of some other prank and fell for it. Last year, the US Open Twitter handle made a surprising statement on 1st April, which turned out to be another huge trick!
