Jessica Pegula has her own aura, creating a special place for herself in the tennis world. While she is quite popular among fans and all the Americans looking out for tennis, she is also why it is popular among the American players themselves. Recently, a popular tennis face, Taylor Townsend, happily received an autograph from the former third-ranked tennis player.

But receiving the autograph was not the best part; the joy that the former 61-ranked received as a fan told a totally different, enthusiastic story. Let’s take a look at what Townsend has to say about receiving an autograph from Pegula.

Townsend and Pegula are gearing up for the Charleston Open. Before their first-round matches, Townsend shared a fangirl moment on Instagram where she walked with a poster of Pegula with the former third-ranked player’s signature on it. While the 68th-ranked player was happily carrying the post, she said, “Look what I got, I got an autographed picture of Jessica Pegula…I am winning in life. We made up, she really loves me again.”

The 27-year-old openly expressed her happiness while highlighting how, after receiving the autograph of such a valuable tennis player, she definitely won as a person. Not only that, she also highlighted how both of them share a lovely and warm relationship, emphasizing how even Pegula carries genuine admiration for her.

Both of them are not just compatriots but, at the same time, share a good friendship in such a way that a few months ago, during the China Open, the 27-year-old made a hilarious question to Pegula over her dominance in the ring toss games.

Townsend’s hilarious question left Pegula laughing 

Taylor Townsend couldn’t help but ask Jessica Pegula a lighthearted question at the China Open last year after seeing how dominant she was in the ring toss competition. Before the competition started, a promotional film showed several tennis players playing a competitive game of ring toss, including Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur, and Pegula.

In those games, the 30-year-old American player played the game in perfection and almost managed to get all the gifts. Looking into that, her friend wrote, “@jpegula you play [beer emoji]-pong or what,” on the WTA post, which shared highlights of the event. Not only that, even Pegula replied with a series of laughing emojis, creating a lighthearted moment between the two.
