American former WTA legend Billie Jean King can’t stop praising her wife Illana Kloss even after forty years of their relationship. However, the couple maintained their privacy and got secretly married in 2018 after decades of togetherness. While the former world’s number one tennis player spoke about their life at times, King’s recent confession about Illana expresses how they managed to stay together for so many years romantically.

In an interview with Woman & Home, Billie Jean King delved deeper into their heartwarming moments together and Illana’s contribution to her life. According to Woman & Home magazine, “She makes time for TV binge-watching dates with Kloss, 68, whom she first met 52 years ago, when the South African-born Kloss was a ball girl for a tournament in Johannesburg. The two reconnected about 15 years later and wed in 2018.” 

King also confessed how much happiness her wife had brought to her life. In King’s words- “Ilana is the best thing that ever happened to me. She inspires me every day. We often say ‘I dream it and she builds it.’ She has an amazing ability to get in the solution and move things forward without ever losing sight of the original vision. Not everyone can do that.” This statement showcased that Billie Jean King and her partner Illana Kloss share a great bond that motivates the former tennis legend towards positive things.

This former tennis legend shared a heartfelt wish last year on her wife’s birthday. Sharing a joyful picture together, King wrote- “Happy birthday to my love, Ilana. Life with you is a gift, and I am so grateful.” King’s wish for her wife Illana Kloss brought smiles to her fans’ faces. King who openly acknowledged her non-binary identity in 1981, was previously married to Larry King before they divorced in 1987. King’s former girlfriend Marilyn Barnett filed a suit against the tennis legend. King and Illana shared a bond as a doubles partner before falling into the emotions of love. Before they got married, King and Illana Kloss called themselves partners and wore each other’s rings.

King also accepted Kloss’s contribution to her life on her 80th birthday. King shared photos from her birthday on Instagram and wrote- “Today, I am 80 years young. Relationships are everything. I am fortunate to have been surrounded by loved ones all my life. I look forward to each day. Having Ilana by my side is my best gift. Creating opportunities for others makes me so happy. And I’m not done yet!”
