Later, King questioned her if she feels any kind of emotional “pain” while reminiscing about the game. Williams, on the other hand, had a totally contradicting opinion on that. She said that it is a “big relief” when sometimes she looks back on the court as she doesn’t have to be involved in those rigorous training and practice sessions.
“I’ve literally given my whole life to tennis and it’s time for me to give my life to something else”: @serenawilliams is moving away from the tennis court — for now, at least.

However, there is still this one part of the game that still causes her emotional “pain” when she looks back. She said, “I feel more pain just like looking at old pictures. But then yeah, look at older pictures or championships or something like that. I’m like, Oh, I miss that or that’s when I feel like different”.
It is those old pictures of Williams in which she was holding her trophies that also include a number of major titles.

Will Serena return to the court?
During the interview, she was asked if there was a sliver of a chance for her return. However, the American tennis legend denied all possibilities for now. Williams said that she has always focused on her on-court endeavors and achievements. Now, she feels like its time for her to focus on something else.
The 41-year-old added that her dad, Richard Williams, still wants her to play one or two more Grand Slam events. Serena, on the other hand, doesn’t want that as she opened up about the same in the interview. Even though, the 23 singles Grand Slam champion has made it clear that she is not making a return to the court as of now. But her recent social media posts have got fans buzzing about her potential comeback to the game.
