“I Had a Blast” – Emma Raducanu on Driving a Lap in McLaren at British Grand Prix 2021

After a brilliant summer at Wimbledon, Emma Raducanu has shown her class at the British Grand Prix. Emma Radcucanu showcased her talent at the Wimbledon Championships earlier this month, after getting a wild-card entry. The youngster garnered a lot of fame after her brilliant efforts at SW19.

This Sunday, Emma got a taste of real speed, as she is only familiar with her racquet and ball speed as of now. Emma made a slight twist to her Sunday routine, as she attended the F1 race at the Silverstone International Circuit.

Emma Raducanu joins the VIPs at Silverstone

The 18-year-old British star was invited to the VIP section of the British Grand Prix and joined the likes of superstars such as soccer star Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Tom Cruise. She also got the opportunity to examine the historic cars in the Red Bull pit and drive around in a McLaren car.

Emma’s rise to fame at the Wimbledon Championships

Emma Raducanu received a wildcard entry at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. And she proved that she thoroughly deserved that entry, becoming the youngest British player to reach the fourth round of the grass court event.

Even though she had a great run at the Wimbledon Championships, she retired in the round of 16 stage against Ajla Tomljanovic. However, she received high praise from many celebrities for her celebrated efforts at the Grand Slam.

An unusual breathing problem forced Emma to retire from her match against Ajla, but it did not wash away her efforts. Many celebrities came forward to support the youngster after she faced backlash for her retirement.

Emma will be back next month in San Jose for the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic. And after her amazing performances in England, she will be a favorite to watch out for.
