However, there are times when she has openly disliked this tag herself. This was particularly evident recently after the 33-year-old tennis player responded with a sarcastic retort when she was addressed as ‘Vintage Victoria.’

Victoria Azarenka’s savage reply to being called a vintage tennis player 

At the moment, the two-time Grand Slam champion is competing in the Charleston Open. She overcame Sloane Stephens, the American tennis player, to advance to the second round. However, during the on-court interview, she explained how she really hated the word vintage and also explained the reason behind her dislike.

She also gave herself a fantastic tag that she thinks perfectly captures her personality on the tennis court. She said, “You know, I hate that word vintage. It makes me feel old and I am just blossoming.”

No athlete, regardless of their background in sports, doesn’t enjoy being constantly reminded of his/her age. She once gave a Serena Williams fan a taste of his wrongdoing when the critic accused her of disrespecting the legend.

When Azarenka shutdown a hater with her witty comment 

The 33-year-old tennis player is quite active on her social media accounts. Last year, during a Q&A session over her Instagram account, she shutdown a Serena Williams fan who stated that the Belarusian star is trying to engage in a bitter quarrel with the former tennis legend. She didn’t post any farewell message following the 23-time Grand Slam champion’s retirement.

The two-time Grand Slam champion then thought of a really witty reply to the criticism. She said that having a face-to-face conversation with the American tennis legend is much more meaningful to her than sending a public tweet.
