Naomi Osaka’s boyfriend and rapper, Cordae, has been on a weight loss journey. Over the past year and a half, he has lost almost 35 pounds. 

Recently, the Grammy-nominated artist had also posted a few of his before and after photos of losing weight. And several rappers around the world congratulated him in support of his new refreshing weight loss path. In a recent interview, he was seen reflecting on his diet and the weight loss process over a magazine cover shoot.

Tennis fans worldwide know Cordae as someone who is in a long-time relationship with the tennis star, Naomi Osaka. However, the 25-year-old is already popular for his rap albums since 2019. Earlier this year, he was seen talking to the Hot 97 YouTube channel about his rigorous diet regimes and the routines he had to follow for the GQ magazine cover shoot.

“So I was just literally. I was like yo, if I don’t get in shape for the cover of GQ, like when in life, what else is going to come up? Well, to me, other things but, but that was like the main thing. And so, um, this it’s a lifestyle you got to maintain,” he said.

He further stated, “I just starve myself, and I’m not joking, but I only eat one time. A day uh, I fast. Um, at six o’clock. 6:00 p.m. every day, which is like the opposite of like intermittent fasting because you are supposed to eat early and stop eating late, but my thing is, I just go the whole day. I only drink water, eat like fruits and stuff, and then I just eat one meal.” 

In 2019, Osaka and Cordae went public with their relationship. Since then, the two have supported each other’s careers, with the rapper attending several tennis matches.

Naomi Osaka once reacted to the breakup rumors with a lot of class

In contrast to many other celebrity couples, Naomi Osaka and Cordae have always kept their relationship under wraps. However, there was this rumor that was circulating two months ago on Twitter about their breakup.

So, Osaka had to come forward and clear the mess in a rather unexpected manner. She posted a photo of herself and Cordae looking at a phone and wrote, “us looking at Twitter yesterday.”

A prior Achilles injury had prevented the 4-time Grand Slam winner from competing at this year’s Wimbledon. Unfortunately, she had to skip the Italian Open in Rome later because of another injury. Osaka’s only noteworthy performance this year was reaching the Miami Open finals.
