Power couple, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are very active social media users. They never shy away from expressing their views on any topic, be it sports, social issues, or political ones. With the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, Alexis Ohanian recently supported an initiative that aimed to help Ukraine.
The internet entrepreneur is keenly interested in NFTs. Adding to his interest, he promoted a new initiative through his Twitter account to help Ukraine.

Alexis Ohanian supports an NFT initiative for Ukraine
Alexis Ohanian took to Twitter to promote the artwork created by a collaboration of artists. They will design the art on the Russian Ruble, which then would be sold as NFTs. He tweeted a video of the initiative with the caption, “I love artists.”

They launched the initiative with an aim of assisting masses in the Ukraine who are still battling the conflict. RublesforUkraine launched this program and aims to assist Ukraine.

The comeback of Serena Williams
The Russian-Ukraine conflict has brought politics into the sporting community as well. Last month, Wimbledon decided to ban Russian and Belarusian players from playing in the grass-court major. Players like Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic had criticized this move.
Earlier in the year, Serena Williams had also shown her support for the people of Ukraine and had shown solidarity with them.

Meanwhile, the 23-time Grand Slam champ has been off the court for a long time now. Her fans were expecting her comeback at the upcoming Wimbledon Championships. However, that did not happen as the entry list for the tournament didn’t have her name.
