Succeeding in something such as entrepreneurship requires a major amount of creative talent. Considering the success of Ohanian, it is needless to say that the 39-year-old has used his creative hat on a number of occasions. Recently, he took his creativity to the next step. Crossing the limits of entrepreneurship, a word coined by Ohanian recently made it to the Urban Dictionary. To celebrate this proud moment, he penned down a note to his mother.

Alexis Ohanian gets his word into the Urban Dictionary

Ohanian is one of the most active social media entities. Scrolling through his handle, one can see that he often uses new and unheard words in his social media posts.

Yesterday, the 12th of August, one such word made it to the Urban Dictionary. ‘Hustle p**n’. Thrilled by the achievement, Ohanian wasted no time in sharing the news with his fans and followers. However, putting up a Tweet, he made sure to address his mother, who died in 2008, with the happy note.

He wrote, “I was just informed that my neologism, “hustle porn” is in the Urban Dictionary. Ma, I made it.” 

According to the Urban Dictionary, the recently added term means the fetishization of extremely long working hours. “It is this idea that unless you are suffering, unless you are grinding, unless you are working every hour of every day and posting about it on Instagram, you are not working hard enough,” he told the audience. “Do not let hustle p**n win here,” the dictionary added as a usage example.

How Ohanian is ruling the investment world?

Similar to his wife, Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian also has a soft corner for investments. Going back in time to 2011, Ohanian co-founded venture capital firm, Initialized Capital. Subsequently, 2020 became a special year for Ohanian, as he founded his own venture capital firm, Seven Seven Six.

As per reports, the company to date has made investments in more than 60 companies working in different sectors. Additionally, it has also done three funding rounds to date, the last one taking place in February this year.
